GOLD CHAMPAGNE are chestnut based horses with a champagne gene. The foals are born a chestnut color, But have bright blue eyes, pink skin, and freckles. Unfortunately until recently no one knew what to call them as far as color. In the past the various shades have been registered as yellow, palomino, sorrel, roan and buckskin. I was one of those people. I registered Strike as a Buckskin, because I didn't know the difference. Until now.
Ace's father is a Gold Champagne. He is reg. yellow. Ace's mother is reg. palomino She has had 4 champagne colts, one which is Ace. My thought is... Brooks Jazz Edition is champagne too. Ace has two strong yellow lines up close. Ace has had three colts so far in 2007 with more to come. The first was a Gold Champagne colt. The second, a rare Sabino Champagne filly. And the third is an Amber Champagne filly. Stay tuned to the Offspring page as more arrive.
Ace has an awesome natural bare foot gait and head set. A wonderful disposition. He can breed one day and be rode the next. He is a stallion but acts like a gelding. Those that know him will tell ya what a calm and wonderful boy he is. We could not ask for any better. He has been in parades and rode on trails. We would like to thank Jamie and April Newman for the chance to own this wonderful stallion.
